Air India has confirmed that one of its flights, AI2379, experienced a turbulence-related incident on Tuesday. The flight, which was operating from Phuket to Delhi, encountered turbulence that caused a momentary change in the aircraft's altitude. According to Air India, the sudden drop in altitude resulted in minor injuries to a few passengers and crew members. A total of 14 people onboard, including 10 passengers and 4 crew members, were affected by the turbulence incident. The pilot reported that the aircraft suddenly dropped about 300 feet during the flight, likely due to turbulence or an updraft/downdraft. The aircraft landed safely at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport, where all passengers and crew disembarked without incident, Air India said. The injured passengers and crew members requiring medical assessment have been taken to a medical facility at the airport, the airlines added.
